The Shampoo Bar Story (Part 3)

The Shampoo Bar Story (Part 3)

Well, it's been more than a year now since I last posted in this blog page. There has been so many things (both good and bad) that happened in the background that I had to set aside writing, for the meantime. Although, deep in my heart, and in my sub-conscious head, something kept on nagging me to hit the keys again.

While I was away, this story went on. Over the past 8 months, a lot of local soap experts continuously, and painstakingly toiled, in coming up with the best variants for these Philippine-made shampoo bars. Competing with foreign brands is not easy (especially with the deeply ingrained CM for the local market). Although imported brands are priced higher, the market will still bite their "not so cheap" products out of the notion that they are still better than local brands.

What the market does not recognize however, is that they are missing out on these things:

1. We source out  raw ingredients locally, which makes these shampoo barsway much CHEAPER.
2. These locally-sourced raw ingredients like Aloe Vera, Moringa, Cacao, Coffee, Turmeric, Ginger, etc, can give you the best benefits possible, for your hair and scalp.
3. Supporting these small, local industries will boost our local economy as well. Something which we may be missing out on, big time.
4. Local industry, though most are still small (and struggling because of lack of support), know exactly what is  their market's specific needs (Asian's genetic make up is so different from Caucasians because of so many factors like the weather).

Try to search for local producers and makers of these shampoo bars (not the big players or well-known brands, but the small, struggling entrepreneurs,  trying to curve their niche in this shampoo bar industry). We got a lot! A few, may not be focused on quality but on price at this time, but I am pretty sure that most of them do produce bars that can easily compete or even beat world-class brands.

YOU JUST GOT TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE!

Natural shampoo bars are here to stay. It is a booming local industry now (in case that you still don't know). Why? Because they are a very logical alternative to bottled shampoos. You help out your self, and you get to help the environment too. Plain and simple.

The next question to ask might be, have you ever tried using a shampoo bar yourself? If not, then why? You may let us know by placing a comment to this post. We can try to answer your queries or your concerns, the best way that we can.

For many people who have tried and are now happy with the results (as they are now enjoying a chemical-free hair care, with natural oils coming out of their scalp now), please feel free to post a comment as well.

In other words, in this third series of our story, we wanted to hear from you now. We hope that you can share some time with us here, in this blog post.
